Tuesday is fine and a list of issues would help. Issues that I know of are the different xmlns used for dc and SRW. With a simple keyword search our 1.1 SRU client gets good responses from all servers, except Pica. Theo >>> [log in to unmask] 13-2-04 13:05:18 >>> What do the rest of you think? Should we wait? How long would it take to finish this testing? By Tuesday? --Ray -----Original Message----- From: Z39.50 Next-Generation Initiative [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Mike Taylor Sent: Friday, February 13, 2004 6:36 AM Hi, Ray. I would be very, very worried if we released now that we'd run into exactly the same thing as with 1.0, that none of the supposed reference implementations interoperate due to unreocgnised contradictory interpretations of the specification. Our experience seems to be that _every single_ attempt to connect one implementation to another uncovers at least one of these. I will be much happier to release when each of Rob's, Adam's, Matthew's and Ralph's clients has successfully performed SRW-1.1 searching and retrieval in each of the others's servers. We ought to be able to get that done in, what, another week? Surely worthwhile.
