That's fine by me. Ralph -----Original Message----- From: Ray Denenberg, Library of Congress [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Monday, December 29, 2003 3:20 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: version parameter at: http://www.loc.gov/z3950/agency/zing/srw1-1/version.html (which Rob wrote) it says: "The version parameter on a request is a statement by the client that it wants the response to be less than or, preferably, equal to that version. The version parameter in the response message is the version of the response." Given the recent discussion about what the version parameter means, should that be changed, to: "The version parameter on a request both indicates the version of the request and is a statement by the client that it wants the response to be less than or, preferably, equal to that version. The version parameter in the response message is the version of the response." I'd simply change it but I want to be sure that this is what we mean. --Ray
