I observe the same behaviour using Mozilla 1.5 and also Konquerer 3.1-12. With Matthew's tests of Exploiter and Opera, that seems like pretty conclusive sampling of the browser population. So. OK, I take back everything I just said. I think the browsers' behaviour here is antisocial, but if that's the world that we live in, then I agree with Matthew that Theo's suggestion will, after all, cause more problems than it solves.
