Important Changes in Reading Room Service

As of December 1, 2005, advance appointments will be required for listening sessions.
Qualified listeners can telephone the Reference Center at (202) 707-7833, fax your request to (202) 707-8464, or submit an email request through rsrc@loc.gov. Be sure to include the name and title of the items requested, the call numbers, and personal contact information so we can confirm your appointment.

During our transition, it may take up to a week for us to fill your requests and have the recordings available for you in the Reference Center.
Patrons will still be able to use the Reference Center without appointment to access the catalogs, reference books, archival collections, microfiche, microfilm and other reference sources.
