I think it's time to abandon our notion of query
string as result set identifier, as elegant as it
is. It's caused alot of confusion, as Mike points
out.
I don't suggest (though others do) that the result
set id be mandatory in the response, but if it's
not there, then in effect there is no result set
-- the client can send the query again and hope
for the same result but the protocol would be
silent on that issue.
