Thanks for that plug for the METS Primer, Elizabeth. Speaking for the Editorial Board, we don't have any plans at the moment for further METS training in the US at a face to face event, but could certainly consider it for the Fall DLF Forum for instance or some other event if there is interest. We are planning to produce some online training tools in the near future, but don't have plans solidified enough to give you much of an idea of what or when those would be available. Thanks for your interest though - it's inspirational or at least motivational! Nancy Nancy J. In lieu of training, the METS Primer (1) is a great resource. If you're interested in working in XML directly, I recommend the oXygen (oxygenxml.com) editor. (1) A link to the long PDF of the METS Primer is on this page: http://www.loc.gov/standards/mets/mets-schemadocs.html Good luck! I'm interested in getting some in-depth METS training. Does anyone know if there are any plans to offer some METS training in the U.S. anytime soon?
