I have placed a first draft attempt at a Relax NG schema of METS 1.6
on the METS wiki [1]. nxml-mode claims that all the example documents
on the METS site are valid by this schema, but perhaps the schema is a
overly permissive. If you have METS files for which validation against
the XSD schema produces different results from validation against this
schema, please let me know.
It is in the compact version of Relax NG; if people need the XML
version I would be happy to put that on the Wiki as well.
