A Speak Up™ safety initiative
4 Things You Can Do To Prevent Infection
November 2005
Overview
CDC has joined together with key infection control organizations to help
Americans fight the spread of infection in health care settings and in the
community, and avoid contagious diseases like the common cold, strep throat
and influenza.
CDC and its partners urge Americans to fight the spread of infection by
taking these three easy steps:
- Clean your hands
- Cover your mouth and nose
- Avoid close contact & stay home if you're sick
