I have a data collecting and archiving project running around in my head that has recently spilled out onto paper. (Its about collecting data from Eastern Christian sites in the Middle East and beyond.) The projected costs for the first year are a little under $80k for my salary and a pilot project. The data collection and archives would be all be digital and I plan on using METS and MODS for the metadata. A copy of all archived material will be heading to the LoC (as well as other places, with the major archive being the web). What I need is some advice on potential funders and sponsors. Can anyone help me, please? If you can, please reply to me directly rather than to the list. Thanks for your toleration of this intrusion, and for your help. Doug Morrison-Cleary PS: Assuming the project gets off the ground, I will send the list lots of updates as I reach the metadata stage ;-) --------------------------- Doug M-C Email: <lists AT morrison-cleary DOT info> Key ID: D5CC3E8F --------------------------- Email, signature, & copyright policies: <http://hildormen.net/policies.html>
