Looking forward to it in MODS 4.0. :-) I don't think this would need to wait for 4.0. It does need to wait for the profile to be developed, of course, but then that profile name could be added to the list of date types (currently w3cdtf, iso8601, marc). That would necessitate a minor version change but not a major one. --Ray
