The paper makes a clear argument for the need for repeatability of $e
and $f (and by analogy with $a and $b this makes sense to general
cataloguers). However, the case for repeatability of $g (date of
manufacture) is not made in the proposal, and no example is given.
If there is a range of dates, I assume it would be given as a span in
a single $g.
In fact, although $c is repeatable, I can think of no cases where it
is actually repeated in AACR cataloguing.
Does someone have an example where repeating a date of manufacture is
needed?
