The paper makes a clear argument for the need for repeatability of $e and $f (and by analogy with $a and $b this makes sense to general cataloguers). However, the case for repeatability of $g (date of manufacture) is not made in the proposal, and no example is given. If there is a range of dates, I assume it would be given as a span in a single $g. In fact, although $c is repeatable, I can think of no cases where it is actually repeated in AACR cataloguing. Does someone have an example where repeating a date of manufacture is needed? Pat
