An Environmental Assessment (EA) is a concise public document that briefly provides sufficient evidence and analysis for determining whether to prepare and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) or a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI). If a proposed action does not have a significant impact on the environment, a FONSI may be prepared. If it has a significant impact, an EIS and Record of Decision (ROD) should be prepared before the action is implemented. Generally, the author(s) of the EA/EIS also prepare the FONSI/ROD. Wildlife Services EAs, EISs, FONSIs and RODs available on this page are organized by State. New documents will be added as they become available. The documents are in the Adobe Acrobat format (pdf). Portions of information that directly or indirectly allow third parties to deduce or obtain information leading to the identity of a cooperative agreement holder have been redacted in compliance with and under the conditions of the current Preliminary Injunction (PI) in John Doe, et al. v Daniel Glickman Civ. No W99CA335, U.S.D.C.W.D. Tex
