In addition to Lambros Comitas' work, The Complete Caribbeana, 1900-1975: A Bibliographic Guide to the Scholarly Literature. 4 vols. Millwood, NY: KTO Press, 1977, the most important source for books and articles concerning Anguilla is the annual Handbook of Latin American Studies (http://lcweb2.loc.gov/hlas/) produced by over 160 contributing editors under the editorship of the Hispanic Division of the Library of Congress. Additional coverage of journal articles can be found through a subscription to the Hispanic American Periodical Index (http://hapi.gseis.ucla.edu/). Both the Handbook and HAPI are available in selected libraries in book form.

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office provides a link under the heading Policy which leads to Country Profiles for specific countries. These profiles have been prepared by FCO desk officers and aim to provide a general overview of the country concerned.

The Federal Research Division (FRD) of the Library of Congress published in 1989 an extensive handbook entitled Islands of the Commonwealth Caribbean: a regional study. The text and selected graphics of the 771-page work are available this site. The reader can search for words or variants of search words, within one country study or across multiple studies. General information on Anguilla is covered in Chapter 5–“The Leeward Islands”–including a Country Profile. The country study can be downloaded, one section at a time, and saved as an html or txt file. (No revised editions are planned at present.)
