The most important source for bibliography of books and articles concerning the Paraguay is the annual Handbook of Latin American Studies (http://lcweb2.loc.gov/hlas/) produced by over 130 contributing editors under the editorship of the Hispanic Division of the Library of Congress. The Electronic Directory of Business, a comprehensive site, based in Peru, provides financial information, the latest business news, a site search engine, and articles for discussion for countries throughout Latin America, including Paraguay. The Development Education Program (DEP) of the World Bank Group highlights social and economic indicators for Paraguay. DEP includes such demographic and economic statistics as the gross national product, key economic ratios and long-term trends, the infant mortality rate, the adult illiteracy rate, and more. DEP offers data indicating how prepared Paraguay is for economic growth and provides links to sites pertaining to trade and development in the country.
