From the Irish Embassy in Washington, D.C., a concise overview of the history of Ireland.
Enhanced British Parliamentary Papers on Ireland
Project for the electronic cataloguing and full-text digitization of some 13,700 British Parliamentary papers (containing around 365,000 pages) from the Ford Collection of Official Publications at the University of Southampton Libraries. These papers are one of the major resources for the study of modern Irish history. The site provides for browsing and keyword searching of the collection, with the eventual aim of providing free full-text access.

Website for an illustrated history magazine of Ireland. Some articles from the current and back issues are available full-text online without cost to the user.
Irish History Online
Ongoing project to develop an authoritative guide to written material on Irish history from earliest times to the present. The material is taken from the annual Writings on Irish History for 1989 to 1998 and also includes all the Irish-related material from the online Royal Historical Society Bibliography. The site includes articles from journals, including local history journals, and collective volumes. The user may search by author, by subject, by publication details, or by period covered.
Act of Union Virtual Library
This site contains a collection of parliamentary papers, pamphlets, manuscript material and newspapers from the time of the 1800 Act of Union between the United Kingdom and Ireland. The user may do a keyword search or browse the collections.
