It is a major portal site that links a number of other websites on all the Arab countries. It contains up-to-date information on the political, business, social, cultural and religious aspects of a particular country. Just click on UAE for information on that country (English and Arabic).

‘Amnesty International is a worldwide campaigning movement that works to promote all the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international standards.' The English language homepage provides articles on human rights questions and abuses in countries around the globe.

Arab Net (http://www.arab.net/)
Provides current news and links to information about each of the countries in the Arab world. Within each country section, information is provided in the following categories: overview, history, geography, business, culture, government, transport, and a tour guide, along with sites related to the country. Links to Arabic language sites are provided. The site also offers a special features category, with topics such as: Internet Service Providers in the Arab world, opinions, and e-mail service.

An annual publication of the CIA, contains up-to-date information on all aspects of the political, social and military history of a particular country.
