MEMRI: The Middle East Media Research Institute  (http://www.memri.org/)
Founded in 1998, the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) ‘explores the Middle East through the region's media. MEMRI bridges the language gap which exists between the West and the Middle East, providing timely translations of Arabic, Farsi, and Hebrew media, as well as original analysis of political, ideological, intellectual, social, cultural, and religious trends in the Middle East.’

Makassed Islamic Philanthropic Association  (http://www.makassed.org/indexflash.html)
The oldest and most important Muslim philanthropic organization in Lebanon. Established in 1878 it has provided very significant assistance to tens of thousands of families over the years. The site includes information on its heath and educational facilities and its publishing activities.

The Maronite Research Institute  (http://www.mari.org/)
American Catholic non-profit organization in support of the Maronite Church. It strives to strengthen ties between the Maronites in Lebanon and the countries of emigration. Promotes research and publishes materials on the Maronites including the "Journal of Maronite Studies".
