This collection of internet sources provides access to web sites that provide geographic information and maps, as well as news about environmental management programs in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Although selective, inclusion of a site by no means constitutes endorsement by either the African and Middle Eastern Division or the Area Studies Directorate of the Library of Congress. Every source listed here was successfully tested before being added to the list. Users, however, should be aware that a successful connection may sometimes require several attempts.

AQUASTAT is FAO's global information system of water and agriculture developed by the Land and Water Development Division of FAO. Site contains an online database, country profiles regional overviews, and maps of water resources development. A profile of water resources in Nigeria is included.
