This pathfinder contains information on performing and visual arts, film, music, museums, theater, and folklore in Curaçao. In addition to Lambros Comitas' work [The Complete Caribbeana, 1900-1975: A Bibliographic Guide to the Scholarly Literature. (Millwood, NY: KTO Press, Research Institute for the Study of Man) 4 vols, 2193 pages, 1977.], the most important source for bibliography of books and articles concerning Curaçao is the annual Handbook of Latin American Studies (http://lcweb2.loc.gov/hlas/) produced by over 130 contributing editors under the editorship of the Hispanic Division of the Library of Congress. Additional coverage of journal articles can be found through a subscription to the Hispanic American Periodical Index (http://hapi.gseis.ucla.edu/).   Both the Handbook and HAPI are available in selected libraries in book form.

This site of the Curaçao Foundation for Culture and Heritage Conservation lists historical buildings and monuments, and 80 eighteenth and nineteenth century estates on the island. In English.

MUSEUM KURA HULANDA  (http://www.kurahulanda.com/)
The web site of the remarkable Kura Hulanda Museum in Willemstad, Curaçao, features descriptions, maps, and artifacts related to the history of African slave trade in the Dutch Caribbean. The site also contains information about the resort hotel near the museum. In English.

NATIONAL ARCHAEOLOGICAL ANTHROPOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF THE NETHERLANDS ANTILLES  (http://curacao.com/naam/)
Provides the history of the islands of the Netherlands Antilles: St.Maarten, St. Eustatius, Saba, Bonaire and Curacao, from pre-Columbian times to the present. Details archeological and anthropological research in the form of texts and images. In English.
