POW/MIA Database (Library of Congress, Federal Research Division)
The Federal Research Division indexes declassified U.S. government documents on U.S. military personnel who were listed as MIA during the Vietnamese Conflict. The more than 134,000 documents in the database can be searched by the name of an MIA, date, type of incident (aircraft down, ground force casualty, etc.), and the reporting organization. All of the documents indexed are available on microfilm in the Library's Microfilm Reading Room (LJ139B)

U.S. Department of Defense. Defense Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office
Home page for the Defense Department office which is responsible for investigating and publicizing information about MIAs. There are news releases, lists of publications, and archives for MIAs. Most of the databases pertain to MIAs from the Korean War, Vietnamese Conflict, and the Cold War.
