JewishGen's Family Tree of the Jewish People contains data on nearly four million people. JewishGen also serves as host to independent organizations such as Jewish Records Indexing - Poland.

Created to assist those researching their Jewish ancestry and based on the concept of free sharing of information, JewishGen Inc. is staffed primarily by volunteers. It is a 501(c)(3) United States tax-exempt, non-profit corporation relying on the JewishGen-erosity of its users to ensure continued growth.
