USGS CMG InfoBank KML Examples

Get Attention You can use Google Earth to display non-geographic images onto the globe. Often their paths indicate the purpose and problems encountered. (in InfoBank's case we format them as YYYYDDDHHMMSST) For ease of use, we group every 100 points together into KML folders, then have an "index" group of every 100th point. We use the index group to narrow down our time sequence of interest, then display the appropriate "every point" folder to see details. You can set the angle of view, speed and other options to simulate or enhance the tour.
