The Automotive Industry

Introduction

Covering all the bases for the automotive industry is not an easy task. It is a industry that incompasses the entire globe, as well as the areas of production and distribution, aftermarket, etc. This guide is limited to automobiles and does not include information on commerical grade trucks and other automotive products. There is no focus on the automotive aftermarket or individual automotive components. It covers the world market with strong attention to information on the U.S. market.

Included is a brief history, as well as statistical sources, information on manufacturing and retail, a short section on company research, and finding aids.
