The 30 minute interview covers an impressive range of subjects which Adonis addresses with characteristic wisdom, restraint, and deep intelligence. The Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester has selected BOA Editions as its Outstanding Arts Organization of the year. The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, October 8th at the Hyatt Regency Rochester at 11:15AM. Pulitizer Prize-winning BOA poet [W. D. [Brigit Pegeen Kelly] has been selected as recipient of the 2008 Academy Fellowship from the Academy of American Poets. The Academy Fellowship is an annual award given to a "poet of distinguished poetic achievement." For more information about the award visit www.poets.org. The fall release for BOA's new fiction series is now available! [Glass Grapes and Other Stories] is the first full-length collection of short stories by distinguished American poet, Martha Ronk. It marks the third release in BOA's fiction series, joining [I Carry A Hammer In My Pocket For Occasions Such As These] by Anthony Tognazzini, and [Unlucky Lucky Days] by Daniel Grandois.

[Wyn Cooper] gave a wonderful reading in Rochester, NY for BOA's "Postcards in Jazz" event. [The Fortieth Day] by [Kazim Ali] has been selected to be honored by the LIT's 2008 Writers & Their Friends Literary Showcase in Cleveland, OH on September 6, 2008 at the Ohio Theater.  The 7th Biennial celebration is a juried literary showcase in which the work of 10 superior literary artists whose work has been published within the last year is excerpted and performed into a dramatic or sometimes comedic script. Celebrated world poet [Ko Un] has been given the Lifetime Recognition Award from the Griffin Trust for Excellence in Poetry. [Flowers of a Moment], a translation of short poems by Ko Un, was published by BOA Editions in 2006. Read more about the Lifetime Recognition Award [Here].

Unlucky Lucky Days by Daniel Grandbois was selectedby the American Booksellers Association as an Indie Next List Notable book for July. [Unlucky Lucky Days] - BOA's second fiction title - is now avaiable from our bookstore or your own favorite bookseller.

Dan Albergotti, author of [The Boatloads] has been awarded a Pushcart Prize for his poem "What They're Doing." Congratulations, Dan!

[Janice N. Harrington] was awarded the 2008 Kate Tufts Discovery Award for her debut poetry collection, [Even the Hollow My Body Made is Gone]. Established in 1993, the Kate Tufts Discovery Award is presented annually for a first book by a poet of genuine promise. Congratulations, Janice!
