Nunn-Perry Award
The prestigious Nunn-Perry Award, named in honor of former Senator Sam Nunn and former Secretary of Defense William Perry, was first awarded in 1995 to recognize outstanding Mentor-Protégé teams formed under the the auspices of the DoD Mentor-Protégé program.

Selection Procedure:

All eligible nominations are reviewed and numerically scored by a review panel. The composition of the panel is at the discretion of the DoD Director, OSBP. The panel may consider other pertinent information regarding the particular Mentor-Protégé agreement. The review panel presents their nominations in order of ranking to the DoD Director, OSBP, for consideration of award. Direct reimbursable and credit agreements are ranked separately. The number of awards are at the discretion of the Department of Defense.

Nomination Packets

Nomination packets, available for download here, were emailed to all active mentors, active protégés, and program managers.

Nominations are due by 8:00 pm (Eastern Time) on Friday, October 31, 2008. Only nomination packages that are completed in accordance with all directions and received by the DoD OSBP by this date will be considered for an award.

Nominations are open to any DoD Mentor-Protégé team with an agreement that was active during any portion of the period between October 1, 2007 and September 30, 2008. Nominations may be submitted by mentors or protégés.
