Public Service Announcement: Education Is a Civil Right

Clip #1:   ListenStream (:31)   DownloadDownload(4.2mb)

Transcript: There's a serious educational achievement gap in this country. African-American children, on average, score lower than their white counterparts on national achievement tests.

The No Child Left Behind law empowers parents to take charge of their child's education by asking questions, getting real answers, and making changes. You may even be eligible for free tutoring.

Education is a civil right. We all need to all work together to make sure our kids become the best students they can be. Let's make sure no child is left behind.

Public Service Announcement: School Report Card

Clip #2:   ListenStream (:30)   DownloadDownload(4.8mb)

Transcript: Child: Here is my report card, mom and dad.

Adult: The report card your child brings home isn't the only one that counts. The school also has to meet certain standards.

The No Child Left Behind law says, if your child's school isn't meeting academic goals, you can transfer your child to another school or get free tutoring and other extra help.

Now you can find out how your child's school is doing.

It's your child. It's your right.

Call 1-800-USA-LEARN.
