Upper St. Anthony Falls
Overview
|
- Located on Mississippi River mile 853.9, Minneapolis.
- Constructed and project in operation in September of 1963.
- Dam consists of a horseshoe dam with a chord dam downstream of the the horseshoe and a concrete overflow spillway owned by Xcel Energy Center.
- Lock is 56 feet wide by 400 feet long.

St. Anthony's Falls Visitor Center
|
Because of construction, the Upper Saint Anthony Falls Lock and Dam visitors' center is currently only open to scheduled group tours. To arrange such a tour email dam.tours@usace.army.mil or call tollfree 877-552-1416.
Please provide the following information in your tour request: group name, point of contact and how to reach this person, as well as the size and age of the group and the date and time of the requested tour.
The Corps of Engineers will do its best to accomodate all groups, but the number of tours and available dates may be limited.
