Online Registration Form for Research Orientations to the Library of Congress

Research Orientations providing a basic introduction for researchers using the Library of Congress collections are offered to the public on some Mondays of every month except August and December. Most orientations are scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, with one evening session offered each month from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. The sessions are held on the ground floor in Room G07 in the Jefferson Building, just below the Main Reading Room.

To register for one of the regularly scheduled research orientations, please provide your name and contact information, and choose the class you wish to attend from the drop-down menu. It is recommended that researchers obtain a Reader Identification card prior to the orientation. The Second Street (Southeast) entrance of the Jefferson Building is open to those holding a Reader Identification card. All others may enter using the First Street Carriage entrance. Evening class attendees must use the Second Street entrance.

If you are unable to attend a session for which you have registered, please cancel or reschedule by phoning 202-707-3370.
