Equipment Used
navigation
Purpose
Deployment of bottom mounted current meters and CT sensors and surface CT
sensors to assess dry season circulation patterns in river estuary
Information to be Derived
Timeseries of Current profiles and bottom and surface temperature and salinity
Summary
Instruments were deployed at three predetermined locations, and
CTD profiles were obtained at each of the sites. A CTD survey was also
conducted transiting up the river estuary on a flooding tide, taking 9
total profiles. The CTD was then towed just below surface back down the
estuary, and a cross-channel transect of three CTD casts was performed.
