The Library of Congress offers a wide variety of online databases and Internet resources to the public via the Web, including its own online catalog. In addition, LC provides an easy-to-use gateway for searching other institutions' online catalogs and extensive links to resources on the Internet.

Library of Congress Online Catalog
Four methods are available to search bibliographic information for the Library's collections.
Prints & Photographs Online Catalog
Provides access to catalog records for a rich cross-section of Prints & Photographs Division holdings and some visual materials held in other units of the Library. Digital images accompany many of the catalog records. Includes cataloging for collections not so far accessible through the Library of Congress Online Catalog.
SONIC: Sound Online Inventory and Catalog
SONIC is a database comprised of information about a portion of the Library's 78 rpm discs, nearly all the 45 rpm discs, cassettes, as well as several special collections on various formats. Recordings of music and spoken word are represented in the database, and include such diverse materials as the Newport Jazz Festivals, NBC Radio, Meet the Press, and Copyright submissions on cassette. This database is comprised of some 350,000 bibliographic records representing roughly 25% of the Library's entire sound recording holdings.
Braille/Audio Materials Online Catalog
Bibliographic information for publications converted to braille, a recorded format (such as cassette or flexible disc), large print, or other special formats held by the Library.
Library of Congress Thesauri
Four Library thesauri are available to browse or search.
Other Libraries' Catalogs (Z39.50 Gateway)
Access to over 300 library online catalogs and databases, both inside and outside the United States.
U.S. Copyright Office Records
Access to U.S. Copyright Office catalog records dating from 1978 to the present.

American Memory: Historical Collections
Browse digitized collections consisting of primary source and archival materials relating to American culture and history.
Country Studies/Area Handbook Program
Search the full text of handbooks on ninety-one countries.
Meeting of Frontiers
Search or browse digitized collections relating to the American frontier, Alaska, and Siberia.
