All Faith Counseling Center (AFCC) provides high quality mental health care to people without the financial means to access these services. AFCC serves a four-county rural area in northeast Kansas; in its twenty-four year history, the organization has served nearly 2,000 individuals.

Project Description:
All Faith Counseling Center of Atchison will use CCF funds to support leadership succession planning, hire a fund development officer to help ensure financial viability, and offer professional development to staff members.

Project Description:

Project Description:
Funds will be used to assist the organization in building itself into a funding and technical intermediary for the benefit of FBCOs in the state of Arkansas. Finally, CCOC will develop a plan for developing diverse and stable revenue sources, including a feasibility study for an annual giving campaign.

The target population for the CCF project is low-income individuals, families, and elderly residents of Yazoo City and Corinth, Mississippi.

Project Description:
Core will use CCF funds to develop outreach strategies and materials including a needs assessment, brochures, and fact sheets as well as a Web site. Funds will also be used for board training, grant-writing training, developing personnel policies and procedures, equipment purchases, and improving fiscal controls.

DVM will use CCF funds to build fundraising capacity. They will design a fund development plan that creates measurable objectives and goals to improve financial sustainability. Also, DWM will provide grant-writing training and develop new major donors. DWM's priority mission is to provide social services in a rural area. Their target population corresponds with their social services area as they serve poverty-stricken Native Americans.

WSS will hire a school- and community-based educator to develop a curriculum to train police officers, town welfare agents, school faculty, and clergy to identify and solve issues affecting the community and increase outreach to area residents and leaders. It will develop and distribute materials on available resources to respond to issues that affect the community. WSS will purchase a laptop and printer to prepare training materials.

Project Description:
The project's goal is to build KCA's capacity to address substance abuse and other rural social service issues through a Native American-oriented community engagement process. KCA will implement the White Bison Wellbriety process to provide a structure to implement change and strengthen the capacity of the tribe. It will train community members to take leadership roles in the change process; it will also conduct a community assessment and implement coalition-building training.

The Tribe will use CCF funds to build capacity through community engagement. Three primary objectives are to conduct a community needs assessment, reach out to and establish collaborations with social service agencies at the local, state, and national levels, and conduct research.

New Creation Christian Transitional Housing is a residential alcohol and drug recovery facility established in 2004. The organization also performs community outreach activities, provides presentations at inpatient drug treatment facilities, and offers educational seminars across Georgia.

Project Description:
New Creation will use funds for board recruitment and training, including training on fiscal accountability, governance practices, and polices and procedures. Board training will be provided by the Georgia Center for Nonprofits. The organization will also develop board orientation materials. Finally, New Creation will implement a new financial management system and provide training to its executive director on fiscal controls as well as advanced QuickBooks functions.

Organization Description:
Upper Arkansas Area Council of Governments (UAACOG) is the designated Regional Council for Planning and Management Region 13 in the central area of Colorado. UAACOG has been providing federal social service programs to distressed communities since 1974. It is an umbrella organization that houses 15 social service programs, most of which serve low- and moderate-income children, families, and seniors.

Project Description:
UAACOG has outlined activities in each of five capacity building areas. Its Targeted Capacity Building project will include: leadership development, organizational development, program development, revenue development strategies, and community engagement.

Organization Description:
You Can Learn Charitable Organization (YCLCO) is the outreach arm of Gospel Lighthouse Word Ministries, a faith-based organization located in Sanford, North Carolina. YCLCO serves the rural counties of Anson, Lee and Richmond, North Carolina. It offers programs to those living in rural communities, including: after school tutorial services, literacy training, job training programs, and various community outreach programs such as food and nutrition workshops and budgeting and homeownership classes. In 2005, YCLCO established the You Can Learn Literacy Center (YCL). The center focuses on education, economic and workforce development, and community development.

Project Description:
YCLCO will use CCF funds to: provide leadership development by training its board of directors; develop organizational systems on finances, information technology, and communications; create a diversified funding portfolio; and strengthen and establish collaborative relationships.
