Guidelines for Access to the Collections:Stiretrus anchorago (Pentatomatidae)

Scientists and graduate students wishing to conduct research in the Department of Entomology should contact the appropriate staff member (see below: Collection Inventory, Profiles & Contact Information) well in advance of your anticipated arrival to make arrangements for your visit. Advanced notice is critical to ensure availability of the collections, the workspace and any laboratory equipment you may require.

Visitors to the Department of Entomology may expect general laboratory equipment and library support but should bring a personal laptop (if needed) due to a shortage of visitor computers.

The department reserves the right to monitor a visitor while s/he is using the departmental collections in order to ensure the security, safe handling and use of the collections and associated materials.

Access Fees: The department reserves the right to charge organizations or individuals from commercial or non-commercial entities access fees, including staff time, for access to and/or use of Smithsonian-owned intellectual property or materials. Such fees may be in addition to fees charged for other services (e.g., photographs).
