Post-Storm Oblique Aerial Photography

Oblique aerial photography and video of the region of landfall were collected on September 4, 2008, to document the coastal response to Hurricane Gustav.

Continuous photography from Grand Isle, LA to Trinity Island, Isles Dernieres, LA is posted below using the Google Maps shared online resource. These images provide an immediate look at the impacts of the hurricane and supplement the pre and post-storm photo and lidar comparisons.

All USGS products are in the public domain. Users may download them without copyright restrictions. If displaying or reproducing the images, please credit the USGS.

You may also download the Google Earth file 20080904_Gustav.kmz (27 KB) and view it in virtual globe software such as Google Earth.
