How to Apply

Apply for WIC in 3 easy steps:

Step 1:  Find a WIC clinic.

  • To find the WIC clinic closest to your home, use our online WIC clinic search site or call Within Reach at 1-800-322-2588.
  • Within Reach staff will tell you the address and phone number of the WIC clinic closest to you.  There are over 240 clinics in Washington, so there's probably one close to you.

Step 2:  Make an appointment to apply for WIC.

  • Friendly WIC staff will help you schedule an appointment and will answer your questions about WIC.
  • The appointment to determine if you are eligible takes only about 30-45 minutes.

Step 3:  Bring identification, proof of residency, and proof of income to your WIC appointment.

  • If you are pregnant, also bring proof of pregnancy.
  • WIC staff will talk with you and fill out the information needed.  You do not have to fill out a lot of paperwork.
  • Eligible clients get WIC checks for food on the day of their appointment.  No waiting!
