The Western Human Nutrition Research Center is one of six USDA-funded human nutrition centers in the country. Located on the University of California, Davis, campus, the goal of the Center is to define nutrition interventions that promote good health. Vitamin B-12 Absorption from Egg; A Study for Men and Women
USDA, ARS Western Human Nutrition Research Center invites healthy men and women, ages 18 years and older, to participate in an 8 day study with 10 study visits on the UC Davis campus. The study will test how the human body absorbs and uses Vitamin B-12.

USDA, ARS Western Human Nutrition Research Center in collaboration with the UC Davis Department of Medical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine invites healthy men and women, ages 18 years and older, to participate in a year-long study with 23 study visits on the UC Davis campus. The study will test how the human body absorbs and uses Vitamin B-12.

Metabolism and Health Effects of Citrus Limonoids
USDA, ARS Western Human Nutrition Research Center invites healthy men and women, ages 20 - 65 with high cholesterol 200-300 mg/dL, to participate in a 127-day study. The study will learn about the effects of citrus limonoids on the risk factors for cancer, heart disease and arthritis. Citrus limonoids are compounds found in citrus fruits. Study visits at to the Western Human Nutrition Research Center which is located at the University of California Davis.

Vitamin B-12 & Bone Health Study for Postmenopausal Women
USDA, ARS Western Human Nutrition Research Center invites healthy women, ages 50 - 65 and who are postmenopausal, to participate in a 9-month study with 10 study visits on the UC Davis campus. The study will test whether Vitamin B-12 changes the markers for bone formation.

Dairy Weight Loss Study for Overweight Men and Women
We hope to learn how dairy foods and diets with moderate calorie restriction are related to central body fat, body weight and body fat, blood pressure, hormones, blood triglycerides, cholesterol and fat cells. We will also examine how diets with moderate calorie restriction and dairy foods affect your metabolic rate.

Physical Activity Pilot Study for Women
The purpose of this study is to examine the health benefits of regular physical activity such as reducing the risk of chronic disease and improving physical performance, specifically in peri-menopausal women. In addition, we will be studying if physical activity affects your dietary habits, body composition and resting energy expenditure.
