Resolution No. 6/06-1 Vaccines Included in the VFC Program VACCINES FOR CHILDREN PROGRAM The purpose of this resolution is to update VFC resolution 2/06-1 pertaining to the vaccines included in the VFC program. This resolution does not make any substantive change to the previous resolution except the following: 1. Add Human Papillomavirus vaccines. VFC resolution 2/06-1 is repealed and replaced by the following: The ACIP proposes that vaccines to prevent the following diseases be included in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program: Diphtheria Haemophilus influenzae type b Hepatitis A Hepatitis B Human Papillomavirus Influenza Measles Meningococcal Mumps Pertussis (whooping cough) Pneumococcal Poliomyelitis Rotavirus Rubella Tetanus Varicella The ACIP includes in the Vaccines for Children program vaccines which are used to prevent the 16 diseases listed above; to be administered as provided in other VFC resolutions.
