Care Bureau (CCB): Supports low-income working families through child care
financial assistance and promotes children's learning by improving the quality of
early care and education and afterschool programs. |

Grants target child care policy research projects
that will add to our knowledge about the efficacy of child care policies and programs
in supporting employment and self-sufficiency outcomes for parents, and providing
positive learning and school readiness outcomes for children. |

Children's
Bureau (CB): Assists in the delivery of child welfare services
designed to protect children and strengthen families. |
|
Grants target programs with services for:
abandoned, adoptable, and foster care children (including infants)
including their families and caregivers, maltreated or sexually
abused children, families at-risk for child abuse, child welfare
practitioners, practitioner training, and technology and innovative
programs. |

|
|
Family
and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB): supports programs that provide youth
with positive alternatives, ensure their safety, and maximize their potential
to take advantage of available opportunities. |
|
Grants
target programs with services for: at-risk, runaway, homeless and street
youth and their families as well as victims of family violence and their dependents.

Office of Head
Start (OHS): Administers the Head Start program,
a comprehensive child development program for low-income children
birth to five years and their families. |
|
Grants
target programs with services for: low-income families and
children, child care providers (including Native American, African
American, and Hispanic providers), Early Head Start and Head Start
teachers, and early elementary teachers and children. |
