State Launches Breast, Cervical Cancer Screening Awareness Campaign;Clinics Provide Free Screening to Uninsured Women Who Earn Low Incomes

(Santa Fe) – The New Mexico Department of Health is launching an awareness campaign this month to encourage women to ask their doctors about getting a Pap smear and mammogram to screen for breast and cervical cancer. Women may be eligible for the Department of Health’s free screening program. (Read More Spanish Version)

Department of Health Surveys New Mexicans to Improve Their Health

(Santa Fe) – Starting at the beginning of January, the New Mexico Department of Health will call New Mexicans to survey them about their health behaviors for the Department’s annual survey, Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System. The survey is designed to provide information on behaviors and risk factors for chronic and infectious diseases and other health conditions among adults in New Mexico. (Read More  Spanish Version)
