Gustavo Alanís-Ortega, JPAC chair for 2003, said of the announcement: "We are fortunate to have a great team and I am sure that under the leadership of Ms. Tingley, we will benefit from her considerable experience in the context of the Ten-year Review of the North American Agreement on Environmental Cooperation."

JPAC will hold a one-day public workshop dedicated to the Ten-year Review and future directions of the CEC on 21 June 2004, prior to the 11th regular session of the CEC Council in Puebla, Mexico.
