Specific areas include notable figures in Black history, culture, and sports; the Civil Rights Movement, the growth of the NAACP and the National Urban League; the Southern Christian Leadership Conference; jazz and soul music; and much more.
The Kaiser Index to Black Periodicals is from the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture at the New York Public Library.
