1.0 General

The Interagency Committee on Standards Policy (ICSP) System includes a number of links and tabs that provide data on ICSP Members, Agencies, and the Charter. In addition, it contains links to the contact points for the Committee Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretariat who coordinate and manage the activities of the ICSP. Finally, the system includes links to Working Groups and their contact points when the ICSP authorizes the creation of a Working Group to investigate and recommend a policy decision or action in support of ICSP activities.

2.0 The ICSP

The Interagency Committee on Standards Policy (ICSP) provides advice and recommendations to the Secretary of Commerce and other Executive Branch agencies on matters related to standards policy. The ICSP seeks to promote effective and consistent standards policies plus foster cooperation between government, industry, and other private organizations involved in standards activities.
