The E.R.R.L. Federal Credit Union is an independent, cooperative financial institution, owned by its members and operated under the philosophy of "people helping people".  The organization exists to serve the members and to provide service at the lowest cost possible.  The Board of Directors, the Office Staff and the various committees that carry out the day to day operations conduct these operations with the interests of the members as the first and foremost consideration.  The goals of this organization are to provide convenient low cost loans to its members and to encourage savings, through share deposits, by offering a competitive return on investment.

The E.R.R.L. Federal Credit Union was established on April 1, 1942, and has grown, over the years, to a million dollar organization.  "ERRL" refers to the original name of the facility, the Eastern Regional Research Laboratory.

The E.R.R.L. Federal Credit Union is unique in many ways.  The Board of Directors, Credit Committee, and the Supervisory Committee consist of volunteers of the Organization (except for the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer, who receive token pay).

The most important feature of a Credit Union is that it is ENTIRELY MEMBER OWNED.

Important Information About Procedures for Opening a New Account

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What this means for you:  When you open an account, we will ask you for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you.  We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
