	FROM THE OFFICE OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS April 2, 2002 PO-2058 Treasury Extends Public Comment Period on Information-Sharing Study The Treasury Department today announced the extension of the public comment period from April 1, 2002 to May 1, 2002, for the Study of Information Sharing Practices Among Financial Institutions and Their Affiliates. This study was required by Section 508 of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999. The extension notice has been sent to the Federal Register for publication and is expected to be published in the next several days.
