Today's moderator is Dr. Leonardo Cohen, chief of the Human Cortical Physiology Section of NINDS.

Dr. Cohen earned his medical degree at the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine. He completed an internship in internal medicine and a neurology residency at J.M. Ramos Mejia Hospital in Buenos Aires. In 1982 he began a three year neurology fellowship at the University of California, Irvine. He joined NINDS in 1985 and has been with them ever since.

Dr. Cohen's research interests include the mechanisms of plasticity in the human motor system, phantom pain as an expression of incomplete plasticity, and the use of transcranial magnetic stimulation in drug-refractory partial epilepsy.
