Safe Water System (SWS) Publications - Community Projects

In the years the CDC has been working with Safe Water System programs, we have seen considerable and growing interest in program establishment from one particular sector:  small, local NGOs or faith-based groups that have an established relationship with a particular community or small groups of communities, and would like to provide safe water within that community/ies.  We have found that the scope of our original Handbook is slightly broad for this sector, and that a document specific for community-based projects is needed.

We are happy to announce that our Safe Water for the Community:  A Guide for Establishing a Community-Based SWS Program manual is now available.  Please email safewater@cdc.gov if you would like a hard copy of the manual with the accompanying CD of relevant information.

Some documents are available here in Adobe Acrobat Reader format (PDF). To view or print them, you must have the free Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Please click HERE for more information and to download Acrobat Reader.
