BIBCO Titles in RLG Union Catalog
Each March RLG profiles the contents of the RLG Union Catalog. We modified
the program to count the number of Book titles for which we had at least
one BIBCO record (with an 042 value of "pcc"). We profiled Books since
the core level for Books was the first one established and used.
Each record contributed by an institution is retained in the RLG Union
Catalog. Records for the same bibliographic item are "clustered" together.
There may be more than one BIBCO record in a cluster, but if so, the
profile counts it as a single BIBCO title. The full profile offers a
breakdown of the total number of BIBCO records by language correlated
by date of publication. The statistics here are extracts, comparing those
from the March 2003 and March 2004 profiles.

another 41.4% of all BIBCO titles.
