Life Jacket Loaner for Kids Sign

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Pomona Lake along with the Pomona Lake Ski Club have placed a Life Jacket Loaner Board for Kids at the Management Park Boat Ramp. The program consists of life jackets sized for children that are FREE for use while boating on Pomona Lake. The life jackets are available behind the water safety sign in the Management Park Boat Ramp. Use the jackets while boating on Pomona Lake and then please return them when finished, so that others may use them when visiting Pomona Lake. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Pomona Lake wants to help make your stay and boating experience the safest and most enjoyable as possible. For the upcoming boating season, the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks law enforcement division is taking a zero tolerance stance for violations relating to life jacket usage. Their sole purpose in taking this stance is to reduce the increasing trend of fatalities on our waters and to create a safer atmosphere for those individuals taking advantage or our great recreational boating opportunities.

Whether power boating or sailing, Pomona Lake, has something to offer for all.

Boaters should be aware that do to fluctuations in lake elevations, partially submerged and submerged hazards may be encountered. Boating operators schooled exercise extreme caution at all times while underway on the lake.
