There is a 10 horse power limit on all boats on Clendening Lake. A Public Launch ramp for the boating enthusiasts and fishermen is available near the Clendening Lake Dam year round. The Clendening Marina operates April – October. For more information you can contact them @ (740) 658-3691.

Federal Recreation passes such as Golden Age, Golden Access, or America the Beautiful – National Park and Federal Recreation Lands Access Passes are not honored at MWCD facilities, but anyone over the age of 60 or those who have a Golden Buckeye Card receive a 10% discount.

Clendening Lake is approximately 10 miles southeast of Uhrichsville, Ohio. At Uhrichsville take State Route 800 south to ¼ mile east of Tippecanoe, Ohio. Turn onto Milarcik Road (County Road 69), approximately ½ mile down the road is the entrance to Clendening Dam. See Map
Fishing is permitted at the Clendening Lake Day Use Area and below the dam.
Clendening Lake is located in Harrison County, Ohio on the Brushy Fork of the Stillwater Creek, 1/2 mile east of Tippecanoe, Ohio, and 9 miles southeast of Uhrichsville, Ohio. Clendening Lake was constructed primarily for flood control, recreation, fish and wildlife management. Clendening Dam is a rolled earth fill with impervious core, 65 feet high, 3,700 feet long, with a top width of 20 feet, and a base width of 460 feet. The recreation facilities at Clendening Lake are administered by the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy. Restrooms are provided at the Clendening Lake Day Use Area on a seasonal basis (April – October).

Limited hiking is available around Clendening Dam. A more extensive hiking trail system is available around Clendening Lake. Information can be obtained from MWCD @ (330) 343-6647 or visit their website @ www.mwcdlakes.com.
No significant historical or cultural areas are present at Clendening Lake.
Horseback riding is not available at Clendening Lake.
