The Disability Law Center (DLC) is a private non-profit organization. We are designated as the Protection and Advocacy agency for the state of Utah to protect the rights of people with disabilities in Utah.

Join us for the Disability Law Center’s 30th Anniversary Celebration & Community Justice Awards. We’ll be celebrating thirty years of serving people with disabilities in Utah--and honoring the staff, volunteers, friends and supporters who laid the groundwork and helped us along the way. A reception will be held on October 30 at the Law & Justice Center at 645 S. 200 E. Salt Lake City from 5-7 p.m. Everyone is invited.

The Community Justice Awards are presented annually to individuals, organizations and employers whose contributions have advanced the opportunities of individuals with disabilities or who have been selfless in serving the disability community in Utah. 30th Anniversary Film Screening, Sound and Fury - October 27

The Disability Law Center will present a free screening of the Academy Award nominated documentary Sound & Fury as part of of their 30th Anniversary celebration on October 27, 2008, 7-9 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Library auditorium. The documentary follows one family's struggle over whether or not to provide two deaf children with cochlear implants. A moderated panel discussion will follow and will include members of the deaf community. A sign language interpreter will be present for the discussion.
