Photogrammetric Aerial Photos of the Surface Rupture

These photos are selected from a set of 275 photos that were taken along the fault line at daybreak Monday, October 18. The aircraft that flew the length of the fault had a 9x9-inch negative camera pointing through the belly of the aircraft. This is the same type of camera used for photogrammetric work. The photos will be used by the U.S. Geological Survey to aid in detailed mapping of the surface faulting.
